Dubois

We were in Dubois Wyoming for 5 nights. The car trip from Whitefish, Montana to Dubois was much longer than estimated on Google maps pre holiday - taking about 12 hours altogether.
The last two hours through Yellowstone, was in fading light and sleet and snow.

Dodging deer on the road for the last hour or so and avoiding icy patches on the road became a fine art and teamwork.

But we made it and awoke the first morning in this delightful cabin on the Wind River, especially chosen for it trout potential.
The views from the cabin were spectacular and varied dependent on which way you looked.
The canyon walls opposite the cabin glowed red in the morning with a wonderful background of the snow coloured mountains in the Shoeshone National Forest.
